Week 0

Week 0

This quilt was made by me during high school as a school assignment. This was made by using several rectangular pieces of fabric of 3 varying colours side by side into a zig zag pattern. It is 1 metres wide and 1.3 metres long. The colours of the quilt were dominantly inspired from chocolate.

Fallingwater – Frank Lloyd Wright
This building is interesting as Wright’s ability to meld together the man-made and the natural surroundings can clearly be seen as together they harmoniously create something great and beautiful. With the use of colours that complement the natural surroundings and the incorporation of the house above the waterfall this allows for the inhabitants to be one with nature.

Beachside view of Bronte Beach
This was taken by myself during mid-morning to noon on a trip to Bronte beach during the summer season. Several shots were taken from different angles and panoramas shots; however this specific photograph had the best outcome with the contrasting shadowing plants to the glistening reflection upon the blue sea. The natural brightness against the camera allows for a natural effect of the darkening of the edges to focus upon the centre and the horizon.
